Program No 1

PC 1.1.1. Ability to use application software in solution of professional activity tasks, methods of standard testing in defining physical-mechanical properties and technological parameters of materials and final engineering products, standard methods of their design, progressive methods of products exploitation. Ability to develop projects of engineering products taking into consideration technological parameters, engineering information, performance, aesthetic, economic and managerial characteristics.

PC 1.1.2. Readiness to use modern information technologies in the design process of engineering products and production.

PC 1.1.3. Skill to use application software in professional activity tasks solution, ability to use methods of standard testing in defining physical-mechanical properties and technological parameters of materials and final engineering products, to use standard methods of their design, progressive methods of products exploitation. Ability to work in NX system.

PC 1.1.4 Skill to use computer-aided design facilities during the process of products development; to use CAD systems in the process of design-engineering preproduction; to create parametric solid-state models of products.

PC 1.1.5. Readiness to make reasonable choice of technologies for construction modeling of designed product in NX system.

PC 1.1.6. Formation of skills and geometrical basis of gear construction in NX.

PC 1.1.7. Ability to modify product model by the instruments of synchronous modeling.

PC 1.1.8. Availability to create virtual models of designed processes and their use for the analysis of variants of possible means and methods of automation.

 

Program No 2
The course goal is to improve students’ professional competences in order to ensure the effectiveness of their work:

  • To explore the possibilities of modern metal processing CNC equipment, machining and tooling fixtures; 
  • To acquire practical skills of work in creating the geometry of the shaped milling tool and of its permissible forms;
  • To explore the possibilities of modern cutting tools materials;
  • To study the features of fine setting of cutting conditions of intermittent machining with multi-axis milling
  • To acquire work skills in the application "Processing" NX8;
  • To learn how to create milling operations of 2.5-x, 3-x, 5-x axis machining of holes, grooves and undercuts, to do the exercises on the creation of multi-axis milling machining, as well as exercises on creation of control programs for turning and turn-milling CNC equipment;
  • To learn the specifics of the control panel CNC Sinumerik and Fanuc;
  • To assimilate the principles of turning and milling CNC machines setting up;
  • To form practical work skills on the machine for the purpose of high-speed high-performance machining;
  • To introduce new technologies through the application of economically justified cutting tools for the production of competitive products;
  • To learn to connect received knowledge of CNC control programs development in NX CAM with the direct introduction of control programs for CNC machines.

The program aims at providing active engineering specialists with advanced professional education.

The curriculum has been designed so that students spend a considerable amount of time with practical exercises which allows them to solve specific and current problems.

The program takes into account current approaches to metal machining, thus guaranteeing both quality and economic performance.

As a result of the training program the student should be able to create NC programs for turning and turn-milling CNC equipment with a direct introduction of the control program to CNC machines.

The program consists of 3 modules:

Module 1. Turning operations in NX CAM.

Module 2. Milling operation in NX CAM.

Module 3. Development of hole-making operations in NX.

Ability to develop machining operations in NX CAM 2.5-axis and multi-axis milling machining centers with simultaneous tool movement on 2 axes;

The ability to create NC programs for turning and turn-milling CNC equipment.

The ability to use NC program analysis in accordance with the specific part’s geometry.
